Charity Auction Donations
Mark Stevens Photography, LLC is involved in many charitable causes in and around the Denver area and we encourage you to contact us if you think we might be able to help your organization. Mark has a particular soft spot for programs that promote the arts, help children and organizations that help make life better for pets in need.
We are able to donate to most organizations with a 501c(3) or 501c(6) status. If you work with a school group or local early education center and are not formally organized as a charity we will be happy to work with you. We do ask that the school you are working for sends us a brief letter confirming your affiliation.
Spring and fall are the big fundraising seasons for many non-profits in Denver and if your group is holding gala or dinner with an auction, then please contact us about donating to your event.
A Girl and Her Horse - TBT
There are few things as beautiful as girl with her horse on a gorgeous afternoon in Colorado. The wildflowers were blooming and the light was golden. This horse property in Parker was the perfect location for an outdoor photo shoot and all the conditions were simply perfect. It also helps when you have a stunning model! Mark photographed multiple horses and various family members during this family portrait session and they ended up with so many wonderful images! They loved their pictures so much that they chose to display 18 canvases as collage to cover an entire wall in their living room. Their artwork displayed this way is simply stunning and they get to enjoy their images every single day.
Yellow makes us smile
After trying out many samples of paint for the new studio, we finally settled on a sunny, cheery yellow. Yellow makes us smile and we hope that you'll also crack a smile when you come see our studio in person. We can't wait to start booking appointments in our new space. But in the meantime, you can still come in for a session at our current downtown Denver location.
TBT - A Boy and His Dog
It's always fun to look back at our favorite family photography sessions! This session was an especially fun and memorable session with these two characters. There aren't too many photographers who get excited about photographing a 2.5 year old and a boxer (who was just a big kid at heart) at the same time, but sessions like this are some of Mark's favorites. There was lot of laughter, funny faces, giggles, and face licks. Mark captured this special bond shared between a boy and his dog and the family was beyond happy with the images he created for them. This picture is one of the 3 canvasses they chose from this session to hang together as a photo collage over the couch in the family room. You can't help but smile when you look at this picture and that is exactly Mark's goal for sessions like this.
Decisions, decisions...
The new photography studio continues to take shape and we now get to start picking out some of the fun things. First up is the exterior paint color! Thankfully we can get small sample pots of the various paint colors before committing to a color choice. We've involved the whole family in the studio construction project and our little helper has especially enjoyed testing the various paints, as you can see by the small paint hand prints.
The roof is on!
The new studio is really starting to take shape now! We had some beautiful weather in Denver this week and the roof was able to be added. It's starting to look like a real building! The studio also feels really tall now, but that's because since it is a photography studio it was designed to have very high ceilings inside for optimal light and working conditions. We can't wait for the studio to be complete so that we can start using it for our clients!
First photo shoot in the new studio!
We may not have a roof on the new photography studio yet, but it was a beautiful Colorado February day and we couldn't wait to try out the new space. Our handy photo assistant was excited to try out the new studio and be the model for the day.
We have walls!
The new studio is taking shape and we now have walls! Now that the walls are up it's easier to envision how the space will look and we can start planning the fun things like paint colors, flooring and furniture.
Calling All Ice Cream Lovers!
If you live in the DTC or Greenwood Village area of Denver, then you are in for a tasty surprise! One of our favorite local ice cream shops, Glacier, just opened a new location at the corner of Belleview and Yosemite. If you aren't familiar with Glacier, they offer hand made ice cream, gelato, and other yummy treats (including homemade waffle cones).
If you like their ice cream as much as our family, then be sure to pick up a punch card so that you can start working towards your free ice cream!
Exciting news! New Denver studio coming soon
We're excited to announce that construction of our new photography studio is finally underway! We are looking forward to watching the progress over the next few weeks! Stay tuned for updates on the construction process and on our grand opening in the new location.
